Derek Howles is a Staff Product Designer on the Design Systems team at Datadog. He co-founded the DesignOps practice at Datadog and was a creator of DRUIDS, the design system that underpins the entire Datadog web platform and many other internal tools. Before that, he was the lead designer in the creation and launch of both Watchdog and Notebooks, and he led design for APM as it expanded into a market leader.
